These hoops take the classic gypsy or creole silhouette wide at the base, narrowing toward the hinge and cover its face with small soldered gold spheres in the granulation style associated with Byzantine jewellery, alongside faceted geometric panels, so almost no flat metal is left plain. A single ridged white gold rim traces the inner curve, standing apart from the yellow gold body in both colour and texture.
A small ball drop finishes the base, echoing the granulated beading carried around the rest of the hoop. It's a substantial, decorative design rooted in an ancient goldsmithing technique, with the two-tone rim adding definition to the inner edge rather than blending into the yellow gold surface.
