Each earring is built around one round freshwater pearl, held at the centre of a five-petal flower in solid 9 carat gold. The petals have a hammered, brushed finish rather than a smooth one, giving them a slightly handmade, organic look — as though each one has been shaped individually rather than stamped flat.
The pearl sits proud of the petals, so it's the first thing you see, with the gold flower working as a setting rather than competing with it. It's a classic pairing — pearl and gold — but the textured petal shape and solid gold build give it a bit more weight and character than a plated pearl stud.
